Long-Range Facilities Planning
May 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm$15 - $35
San Diego has seen an influx of new, state-of-the-art hospitals being built over the past six years — all designed to improve the environment of care. But what about the other aging healthcare facilities in our area that need ongoing maintenance or may require long-term replacement? How do facility planners create a strategic master plan to accommodate future healthcare changes? What is the decision-making process behind prioritizing and saving for capital improvements, such as a new HVAC system or replacing out-of-code wiring? And how does this impact the physical environment in which employees work and treat patients, and consequently, HCAHPS scores?
Join SOHL on May 15th to hear from a healthcare architect, mechanical engineer and facilities planner, and learn how a long-range facilities funding plan can decrease overall costs, increase system performance and longevity, and improve how patients and employees experience their physical environment.
